I Am Heath Ledger–Trailer for the New Documentary

The first trailer for the forthcoming Spike TV documentary, I Am Heath Ledger, has arrived—and it’s sure to break fans’ hearts. Nine years after Ledger’s shocking and untimely death, the documentary, which premieres April 23 at the Tribeca Film Festival, will reveal moving never-before-seen footage from his life and interviews with family, friends, and Hollywood colleagues…

The trailer for the 90-minute documentary is emotional and a little eerie—in several scenes, Ledger turns the camera on himself—making it hard to believe, all over again, that the superstar actor is gone. “Heath was the most alive human,” singer and friend Ben Harper says in the trailer. “And if it wasn’t on the edge, it didn’t interest him.”
